The project "Improvement of Development Process and Local Governance in the Municipality of Tripoli" funded by the European Union is working at Jabal Mohsen, Tabbeneh and Ghoraba and through the civic education program a training concerning the “Understanding electoral processes and elections” was held at the community center for two days.
The participants were a group of CBOs, local NGOs, representatives of MOSA, initiative, and activists working at the area of intervention, the training was delivered by Dr. Mohammad Oweid.
The main objective of this training is to Understand the electoral system used in Lebanon and, the institutions involved in this system, the role that the civil society plays in elections. In addition of the role that the political parties and electoral system play in democracy.
The participants were very grateful to participate in this topic and its benefits in the next election phase.

ضمن مشروع "تحسين التنمية وتعزيز الحوكمة المحلية لبلدية طرابلس" الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي والموجه الى كل من منطقة جبل محسن والتبانة والغرباء وضمن برنامج التربية المدنية عقدت دورة تدريبية في المركز المجتمعي لمدة يومين حول موضوع "آلية الانتخاب والانتخابات".
شارك في هذه الدورة ممثلين عن وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية مركز القبة، ناشطين اجتماعين وممثلين عن جمعيات ومبادرات فاعلة في منطقة المشروع وقد أدار الحوار والنقاش المهندس بلال أيوبي.
أهداف هذا التدريب هو فهم آلية الانتخاب في لبنان والمؤسسات المعنية بالعملية الانتخابية. بالاضافة الى دور السياسين في العملية الانتخابية.
وقد أثنى المشاركون على اهمية المعلومات التي تلقوها والاستفادة منها في العملية الانتخابية القادمة.
